Our 2019 selection from Huth Herefords in Wisconsin has been the foundation of our herd for the past (3) years. This R Leader son out of a 3027 cow is as gentle as they come, big nutted, and has exceptional EPDs. He is top 1% in SC, top 5% WW and YW, and top 30% in CED. A large majority of our young females stem from this bull. His first crop of calves produced the highest gaining Hereford bull (pictured below) at the University of Tennessee performance test in 2021.
A double bred 6449 son that we share with Shiny Rock Farm in Murfreesboro, TN. His first and only registered progeny has a BW ratio of 102 with a WW ratio of 115. A true CURVE BENDING bull who is just now showing off his true potential. We have a son of his at UT currently and we expect the same great things from him as we saw in our group last year.
We were fortunate enough to purchase a flush on 623 ET from Iron Lake Ranch in Texas. We are super excited to see this group of F1 heifers from this cross with the top Angus sire Sydgen Enhance. We truly believe this group will be game changers for the Black Hereford industry.
"7101" as we call her was our first "home grown" Angus cow to reach donor status and she really does have it all. She finished FIRST in a group of almost 100 heifers at the University of Tennessee for ADG and has never disappointed since. She has a perfect udder and teats, is as calm as they come, and really puts the pounds on her calves. Her dam (an Ingenuity daughter) has put multiple herd sires on the ground and she is following suit. Sexed F1 Heifer embryos will be available in late 2022 so please contact us for availability and pricing.
